NEW LONDON On May 3 to 5, 12 students, and Christina Howard attended the Ohio FFA State Convention in Columbus. At the convention the students had the opportunity to listen to motivational speakers and gain valuable leadership skills.

Furthermore, numerous students competed in career development events and received awards for their hard work throughout the year.

Justin Shreve, Sam Taylor and Brittany Covender received pins for their secretary, reporter and treasurer books.

This chapter had one student receive state degress. Josh Weaver drove down to Columbus on Saturday to get his award.

In addition to attending the convention, the students also had the opportunity for some fun. They played putt-putt and attended the FFA dance.

Those attending the convention were: Brittany Covender, Katie Morris, Tim Shepherd, David Thomas, Sam Taylor, Josh Weaver, Carl Resor, Ryan Carey, Huston Edwards, Justin Shreve, Cody Moore, Chris Cook, Mrs. Taylor and Christina Howard.
