MILAN At 7:30 p.m. May 21 at the high school auditorium, the Edison high School choral department will be presenting the annual spring concert. Featured will be performances by the concert choir and the sound dimension show choir as well as a variety of solo and small group performances. The groups are under the direction of Denise Reilly and Nick Georgiafandis.
Music performed at this concert will consist of many choral favorites over the past five years. The senior choir members will be honored along with their parents in the traditional "rose ceremony."
For the choir seniors, this marks their final choral performance except for the performances of the seniors at graduation and the Show Choir at the Baccalaureate Services for the graduating class. It will also be the final choir concert under the direction of Georgiafandis who will be retiring after 36 years of choral instruction at Edison.
A full evening of choral music entertainment will be performed for all in attendance with a look back to choral musical performances from the past four years.
Reserved seat tickets will be available beginning Monday. They are $5 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens. They may be purchased through choir members or by stopping by Edison High School daily between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door.
