Donate money for what?

Eight years ago I had a beautiful baby girl. She was born with a disability, and I remember one of the first things the nurse said to me was that she thought I should keep her. The thought had never crossed my mind to give her up. Since then she has gone from having a single disability to having multiple disabilities. She is a challenge for me to care for, but I love her with all my heart and wouldn't have it any other way.

It has crossed my mind that if I would have given her up for adoption, someone would have received a lot of money to care for her. I know they would have gotten more money than I do. Since I work to support my family, my daughter is only disabled depending on how much money I make, according to government agencies. Apparently she is not disabled at this time. I receive no help from any agency at all. This is sad, since there are many things she needs that I cannot supply her with. Yet complete strangers can receive compensation to care for and foster a disabled child.

What is wrong with this country today? I am in total amazement that the Gravelles are once again in the headlines; this time seeking donations for their defense fund. They have been convicted of abusing and confining those beautiful children and they want to get them back. They should have never been allowed to have 11 disabled children to care for.

How about this, if any one is crazy enough to donate money for that then I have another cause for you:

Single, hard working, loving, caring mother of three children, one that has a disability, is seeking donations to help pay for a place to live, electric bill, wheel chair ramp and brace that child needs. We have done nothing wrong, just can't make ends meet with all the extra medical costs.
