The April 23-29 Willard Police Department blotter had the following highlights:
Daniel A. Sallee, 31, of 129 Crestwood Drive, Willard, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with a Crestwood Drive incident.
Dispatched the Willard Fire Department to: a field fire at Boughtonville and Walnut roads and later, a brush fire at the Willard Golf Club.
A Spring Street resident reported receiving a threatening letter in the mail.
An employee of an East U.S. 224 business reported a vehicle that was purchased at an auction later was reported stolen out of Detroit. The Detroit Police Department was contacted.
A caller reported possibly leaving a money envelope in the drive-thru window at a local bank.
Esau R. Lopez, 27, of 225 Keefer St., Willard, was arrested on a contempt of court warrant. He also was charged with driving without a license in connection with the South Myrtle Avenue incident. Lopez started serving a three-day sentence Friday at the Huron County Jai.
Responded to a South Myrtle Avenue accident in which a juvenile was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance.
An employee of a Blossom Centre business reported seeing a suspected drug deal between suspects in two vehicles. An officer spoke with one male suspect who said there was no such activity.
A Park Street resident reported a theft.
A caller reported someone pried open the pop machine on Woodland Avenue. An unknown amount of money was taken. Police received three more complaints about other pop machines being tampered with in the next 1.25 hours. One incident was at an East Maple Street business and another was in the park at the baseball fields.
A caller from a local apartment complex reported a radio was stolen from his vehicle.
A Spring Street resident reported money was missing from her piggy bank and her daughter's piggy bank was missing.
Melissa M. Collins, 28, of 209 N. Main St., Willard, was arrested on a warrant and charged with trafficking in drugs. She was released April 25 from the Huron County Jail on a personal recognizance bond.
A caller reported a male subject was staggering on North Church Street. Zach Barnett, 20, of 521 Pleasant St., Willard, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and underage consumption. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail on a probation violation.
Eddie D. Tackett, Sr., 39, of 101 First St., Willard, was arrested on a warrant and charged with trafficking in drugs. He was released April 26 from the Huron County Jail on a personal recognizance bond.
A Butte Street resident reported someone broke into his home and may still be inside. An officer didn't located anybody. Several items were reported missing. The incident remains under investigation.
A Timothy Drive resident reported her daughter's vehicle had been broken into.
A Woodbine Street resident reported her vehicle was broken into and several items were missing.
A Spring Street resident reported his daughter had been missing for about three days. The girl was found later in Mansfield.
A Willard High School caller requested an officer for an altercation.
A Park Street resident reported a grape vine tree and a concrete goose were taken from the porch.
A West Pearl Street resident reported seeing a male suspect looking into the neighbor's window. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anyone matching the description given.
A West Pearl Street resident reported discovering a suspected break-in when he was home for lunch and items were missing.
Tharon Reed, 23, of 117 S. Main St., Willard, was arrested on a contempt of court warrant during a South Main Street traffic stop. He was released later from the Huron County Jail on a personal recognizance bond.
Molly M. Leal, 26, of 403 Woodland Ave., Willard, was issued a summons for passing bad checks.
Dean Thornsberry, 34, of 410 E. Walton Ave., Willard, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an East Tiffin Street incident. He later was released to a sober individual.
A South Main Street resident reported domestic violence.
An East Pearl Street resident accused several juveniles of attempting to break into a motor home.
A caller reported suspected underage drinking and drug use at a local apartment complex. An officer checked the complex several times and saw no cars coming or going and was unable to determine which apartment was involved.
Jose Villabobos, 21, of 15 E. Maple St., Willard, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, an open container violation, contributing to the unruliness of a delinquent and allowing the underage consumption of alcohol in connection with an incident at the Willard Reservoir. He was cited and released. A male juvenile was arrested and charged with underage consumption and a curfew violation.
Carmela Zunun, 39, of 15 E. Maple St., Willard, was arrested on a contempt of court warrant and released.
A caller reported being assaulted on Dale Avenue. James E. Kirk, 26, of 557 W. Pearl St., Willard, was arrested, charged with domestic violence and released.
Responded to a car and motorcycle accident at the intersection of Tiffin Street and Dale Avenue. A juvenile was charged with making an improper turn and juvenile traffic offense.
A South West Avenue resident reported being assaulted. Phillip C. Wilson, 26, of 215 S. West Ave., Willard, was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.
A West Pearl Street resident accused a female suspect of coming to her home brandishing a small silver gun. She and another female left when the complainant called 9-1-1. Officers were unable to locate the female suspect.
A South West Avenue resident reported someone was broke out windows on vehicles.
A Woodbine Street resident reported being assaulted. An officer advised the problem stemmed from an earlier complaint on South West Avenue.
