Douglas A. Preston, 43, of 88 Corwin St., hit a dog Sunday on U.S. 250.

Timothy D. Jallay, 24, of Jeromesville, was charged with failure to control Monday on Ohio 13 in the collision with the vehicle driven by Amanda J. Hitsman, 25, of Bexley.

Tony R. Hoff, 17, of 4929 Old Ohio 18, Wakeman, was charged with failure to stop Tuesday on U.S. 20 after the collision with the vehicle driven by Jason W. Gahring, 31, of 4863 Ohio 601.

Alisa A. Williams, 47, of 2858 U.S. 20, Collins, was charged with failure to control Tuesday on U.S. 20 after her vehicle exited the road and hit a ditch.

Lean C. Chapin, 74, of 4693 Prospect Road, New London, was charged with failure to yield Wednesday at the intersection of Fayette and Greenwich Townline roads after the collision with the vehicle driven by Scot A. Delarino, 42, of 1303 Palmer Drive, New London.


Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 1 W. Main St. at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. Returned to station at 7:55.


Roger A. O'Bryan, 40, whose address was unavailable, was arrested on two contempt of court warrants Wednesday on the original charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal tools. He must sit 10 days at the Huron County Jail on each warrant.

Donald Ramey, 35, whose address was unavailable, was arrested Wednesday on two warrants and charged with failure to appear. He will be held at the county jail until his court date today.

Vernon D. Toole, 53, of 60 W. Seminary St., was arrested Wednesday on a Perkins Township Police Department warrant and charged with misuse of a credit card. He was transported to Perkins officers.

A West League Street resident reported vehicle vandalism Wednesday.

Four juveniles were arrested Wednesday and charged with theft and criminal trespassing after breaking into the impound lot on St. Mary's Street. They were released later to their parents.

Calvin Brown, 51, whose address was unavailable, was arrested on five contempt of court warrants Wednesday. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Several Morley Drive-area residents reported spray-paint damage to vehicles and structures Wednesday.


Assisted the state Highway Patrol with an accident on Alpha Road, Greenwich, Wednesday.

Residents on Jericho Road, Norwalk; West River Road, Wakeman; Butler Road, New London; and Exchange Road, New London, reported seeing suspicious vehicles Wednesday.

Received a report of an unruly juvenile on Chenango Road, Wakeman, Wednesday.

A Sand Road resident reported a loud four-wheeler Wednesday.

An Ohio 303, Wakeman, resident told deputies he thought his child might be dead because he was not moving upstairs. Citizens Ambulance also responded.

A Chenango Road, New London, resident reported a stopped train Wednesday.

A Derussey Road, Collins, resident reported a lost cell phone Wednesday.

A Wenz Road, Wakeman, resident reported telephone harassment Wednesday.

A River Road, Monroeville, resident reported a possible burglary Wednesday.

An Ohio 162, New London, resident reported a possible prowler Wednesday that turned out later to be raccoons.
