Matthew S. Butler, 27, of 520 Milan Ave., Lot 127, Norwalk, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Monroe Street incident Wednesday. His blood alcohol content level tested at .222. Butler was held at the Huron County Jail until sober.


Hugh Teeters, 16, of 128 Gibbs Rd., was not charged Monday after he backed his car into another car in a Shady Lane Drive parking lot.

Michael Gordon, 32, of 2 E. Quail Hollow Dr., was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance after he rear-ended another car on East Ohio 61 Monday.

A 17-year old Norwalk boy tried to steal a bike at Norwalk Middle School Monday, but he dropped it when challenged by teachers and the principal. His case will be forwarded to the prosecutor's office for consideration of charges.

Responded to Norwalk High School to deal with some unruly juveniles Monday.

A Milan Avenue man attempted to commit suicide Monday. He was transported to Fisher-Titus Medical Center and will speak with a mental health professional before being released.

Rocky Stidam, 36, of Shelby, was arrested by the Shelby Police Department on a local warrant Monday and charged with failing to report to jail and failure to pay fines and costs. He is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

A Spino Street resident brought a box of old ammunition she found in her house to the station to be destroyed Monday.

An Eastwood Drive resident reported telephone harassment Monday and accused someone of applying for 16 Dell credit cards in his name.

Seth Flew, 27, of 73 North Prospect St., was charged with disorderly conduct, littering and possession of less than 100 grams of marijuana Tuesday.


A Neal Zick Road, Willard, resident reported receiving threatening and harassing text messages Sunday.

Two wallets were stolen out of unlocked cars at a Lais Road residence Sunday.

The manager of a U.S. 224, Greenwich, mobile home park reported someone was banging on doors and screaming Monday. Later another resident reported a fight to which deputies responded.

A Portage Path, Willard, resident reported the theft of several items Sunday.

A Ridge Road, North Fairfield, resident reported finding a bumper with an attached license plate Sunday.

Dispatchers were advised of an alarm activation Sunday at Norwalk Alliance Church.

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 hang-up call Sunday from Ridge Road.

An area resident requested a deputy respond to Seminary Road to maintain the peace during a civil matter Sunday.
