An Area resident reported Thursday his car was missing from his home. It was later discovered on Morley Drive off Jefferson.

An employee of a Liberty Street business reported Thursday tools were missing from his truck. He also reported a portable generator and may other tools missing.

A North Garden Street resident reported stolen mail Thursday.

Benjamin Brutsche, 30, address unknown, was arrested Thursday on a warrant out of Norwalk Municipal Court on a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the station where he posted bond and was released.

Charles House, Sr., 48, address unknown, was arrested Thursday on a warrant on a charge of failure to maintain in good repair the exterior of a surface of a structure.

A Milan Avenue resident reported Thursday her 9-year-old daughter was assaulted and had her bicycle stolen.

An area resident reported Thursday she struck a dog on East Main Street, near Townsend Avenue. The dog reportedly darted out in front of her. The dog was taken into the owner's residence.

A Benedict Avenue resident reported a domestic situation Thursday.

Forwarded a report to the law director's office Thursday regarding a domestic situation on Ford Avenue.

Joanne D. Smith, 76, 1055 Peru Olena Road, Norwalk, was charged Thursday with assured clear distance ahead after striking the vehicle driven by Sharon J. Reeves, 55, 43 Firelands Blvd. Reeves was stopped for traffic on Benedict Avenue, and the collision caused Reeves to strike the vehicle being driven by Scott E. Endsley, 31, 196 Benedict Ave.


Responded to 5800 Gibbs Road for a carbon monoxide detector in alarm at 7:15 a.m. Thursday. Removed detector and advised occupants to replace with a digital read-out type. Returned to station at 7:44.

Responded to 208 Whittlesey Ave. at 11:54 a.m. Thursday for a smoke detector in low battery alarm. Checked for proper functioning, and returned to station at 12:11.
