No citation was issued Monday after Jeffrey C. Fraley, 50, of Wakeman, swerved to avoid a vehicle on Ohio 60, went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.

Patricia Ann Porter, 40, of New London, was charged with failure to yield the right-of-way Monday after she failed to yield at an Alpha Road, Greenwich, stop sign and collided with the vehicle driven by Brian L. Ortiz, 26, 1040 B Ohio 61.

Elizabeth J. Randolph, 46, of Spencer, was charged with speeding Saturday in connection with failing to maintain assured clear distance and hitting the rear of the vehicle driven by Nicholas A. Moss, 16, of Amherst, on Fitchville River Road.


Responded to an open burning complaint at 9:44 p.m. Wednesday to smoke in the area at 17 State St. Firefighters determined it was most likely coming fro a wood burner. Returned to station at 9:55.

Responded to an injury accident on Westwind Drive at 8:17 p.m. Wednesday. Returned to station at 8:45.

Responded to a natural gas leak around a construction area at 8 Bank St. at 8:18 p.m. Wednesday Returned to station at 9.

Responded to the report of a child having seizures 15 Katherine Ave. at 3:26 p.m. Wednesday. The child was alert and transported by North Central EMS to an area hospital. Returned to station at 3:32.

Responded to an accident at 10:18 a.m. Wednesday at 31 Milan Ave. The driver was already out and in an ambulance upon arrival. Firefighters put oil dry on fluids leaking from the vehicle, disconnected the battery and helped clean the scene. Returned to station at 10:52.


A Bennett Lane business employee reported Wednesday someone broke into his trailer and stole a Kodak digital camera with a memory card. The suspect also removed some of the cables from the computer.

Kendra L. Litten, 41, whose address was unavailable, turned herself in Wednesday on a warrant in connection with possessing drug paraphernalia. She posted bond and was released.

Christopher L. Buffington, 18, and Jeffrey L. Trushel Jr., 22, whose addresses were unavailable, were charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Chatham Street fight Wednesday and released.

A Whittlesey Avenue business owner reported someone stole about $50 Wednesday.

Destroyed a sick raccoon Wednesday on Wedgewood Drive.

A West League Street resident reported her granddaughter's pink and white bicycle was stolen Wednesday.

A West Chestnut Street resident reported her son's dark blue GT bicycle was stolen Wednesday.

An area resident reported Wednesday she lost her cell phone at Memorial Lake Park. It is a silver Kyocera brand clip phone valued at $200.

Michelle J. Ganzhorn, 23, whose address was unavailable, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a State Street incident Wednesday and released to her grandmother.

Zachary J. Foster, 21, whose address was unavailable, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of giving false information to avoid a citation and released.

Heath L. Moltz, 31, and Joshua J. Raymond, 28, whose addresses were unavailable, were arrested in connection with a shoplifting incident at a Whittlesey Avenue business Wednesday and released.


An area resident reported an intoxicated male suspect asked him if he wanted to buy a chain saw at a West U.S. 224, New Haven, business Wednesday.

The Plymouth Police Department requested assistance with two intoxicated male suspects waving a gun around Wednesday.

The Willard Police Department requested assistance with a suspected burglary at a West U.S. 224, Willard, business Wednesday.

The state Highway Patrol received a report of a naked man flagging down tractor-trailers Wednesday on U.S. 250, New London.

A Zenobia Road resident reported a sick raccoon Wednesday.

The Willard and Vermilion police departments reported having unspecified suspects in custody on undisclosed warrants Wednesday.

A North Main Street, North Fairfield, business employee reported vandalism to two light fixtures and a boot scraper/brush Wednesday.

The Wakeman Police Department reported there was a female victim at the station reporting an assault Wednesday on West River Road, Wakeman.

An Ohio 61 resident reported telephone harassment Wednesday.

An area resident reported there was a dog abandoned on East U.S. 20, Wakeman, which had been barking and whining continually Wednesday.

A Dublin Road resident reported a suspicious vehicle complaint Wednesday.
