Christen Chaffins honored

WILLARD - Willard High School senior Christen Chaffins was recognized Wednesday for her superior rating in the state science fair.

Huron County Commissioner Mike Adelman presented Chaffins with the certificate on behalf of him and commissioners Ralph Fegley and Gary Bauer.

In other business:

The board voted to employ the following individuals: Corey Reed, math coach; Kathy Liticker, orchestra director; Adrienne Scott, physical education teacher; Judy Funk and Amy Chandler, teacher aides; Pam Miller, teacher aide; Mary Cok, Middle School secretary; John Buss, freshman football coach; Tom Laughbaum, substitute teacher; Melinda Donnamimiller, substitute cook and Lindsey McDonald, preschool itinerant teacher

The board accepted the resignations of Chris Crawshaw, preschool intervention specialist and Matt Dominique, seventh grade science teacher and assistant wrestling coach.

The board approved Ricky Branham as a volunteer with the cross country team.

The board approved membership with the Northwestern Ohio Educational Research Council, Inc.

The board appointed member Tom Showmas as a delegate and member Rod Cok as an alternate for the Ohio School Boards Association convention in November.
