Casa Fiesta to open new location Tuesday, ribbon-cutting tonight

Norwalk Reflector Staff • Oct 29, 2015 at 12:50 PM

The wait is finally over; Casa Fiesta is opening its new location on Milan Avenue Tuesday.

However, the fun starts tonight with a chamber ribbon cutting and after hours from 5 to 7. We'll be collecting your business card at the door for entry into drawings for gift certificates, etc. The transformation is incredible inside and out, there are new menu items along with old favorites, come join the celebration.

Chamber businesses wishing to be included in the upcoming back-to-school activities sponsored by the chamber are encouraged to bring 300 coupons, promo items, etc., to the office ASAP. The deadline is Aug. 20. We'll be packing bags for some schools and attending opening day events at others. Another project we are currently working on is the new teacher welcome gifts. This is an opportunity for the business community to make new teachers aware of your business and to make them feel like part of the community. We would appreciate gift certificates, logo items, school-related supplies, etc., for these gifts.

Coming up at Summit Motorsports Park the weekend of Aug. 24 will be the Chevy Drags. We have received a supply of free tickets from Flowmaster and the American Drag Racing League. Businesses are encouraged to call the office and request as many tickets necessary for your employees. Call ahead and we'll have them ready for pick up. Area residents are also welcome to stop in the Chamber office located at 10 W. Main St. for tickets from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For the past several years the chamber has facilitated an on-line community calendar. There are numerous civic organizations included but we realize there are many more events happening around the community that often times go by without notice. While we cannot put for-profit business, church or school events on the calendar, we are going to begin accepting other area non-profit organizations' events for posting on the site. Examples of events we are able to post would include things such as the Historical Society's garden tour or the Rotary pizza bake-off. This will be a trial run for the rest of the year and we'll accommodate as many requests as possible. Depending on the number of submissions we receive, we'll evaluate it and make the necessary adjustments for the future.

If your organization wants to have an event listed call (419) 668-4155 or stop by 10 W. Main St. for an information form.
