CST students graduate

AVERY - All students enrolled in the 2006-2007 full-time class of EHOVE Ghrist Adult Career center's certified surgical technology (CST) program passed the national certified surgical technologist exam on June 6.

With the certification in hand, students are now licensed and eligible to work assisting physicians with invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in hospitals, surgical centers and doctors' offices.

EHOVE's CST program is an intensive, nine-month program offering classroom and clinical site training for students in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique.

It combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies. CST Coordinator is Beth Lucas, of Sandusky.

Students who passed the exam on June 6 include: Kelly Bloemer, of Oak Harbor, Kristin Davis, of Norwalk, Bernadette Ferguson, of Bellevue, Heidi Fisher, of Norwalk, Christine Horvath, of Milan, Roberta Huff, of Lorain, Kimberly McClain, of Norwalk, Diane Moderwell, of Lorain, Katy Poskonka, of Sandusky, Rachel Reynolds, of Sandusky, and Christa Valko, of Clyde.
