Fanny Farmer picnic slated for Aug. 25

MONROEVILLE The 11th annual Fanny Farmer picnic will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 25 (rain or shine) at Marsh Field in Monroeville.

Lakeside Antique Show is Aug. 25

LAKESIDE The annual Lakeside Antique Show and Sale is slated for Aug. 25.

The 47th annual show will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with 85 dealers set up inside three buildings, South Auditorium, Wesley Lodge and Wo-Ho-Mis, and on the lawn adjacent to the buildings.

The cost is $5 per person, which allows customers five hours to view the show and also visit the community. Persons already inside the Lakeside gate are not charged the admission fee.

The show is sponsored by the Lakeside Association and is managed by Fern Larking Kao and Margaret Sberna Welty, both of Bowling Green. More information is available by calling (419) 352-5928 or (419) 354-4600.

RR Donnelley lauds longtime employee

WILLARD Carl Kooken will celebrate Tuesday 25 years of service at RR Donnelley in Willard.

He was hired in 1982 as a material handler and became full time in 1983. He worked as an assistant artworker, mylar reader and is currently a prelim tech III.

Carl lives in Willard with his wife Michelle. They have four children, Chris, Ashley, Benjamin, and Hilary.
