BELLEVUE — U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jon Martin, of Bellevue, died from his injuries suffered when his vehicle hit a roadside bomb in Iraq earlier this month.

Martin, 33, was serving in his third tour in Iraq. He was taken to a hospital in Germany after he was stabilized at Camp Anaconda in Baghdad. He was injured in his second tour and received a Purple Heart.

Martin’s wife and his mother flew to Germany to be by his side.

Martin and his wife have three children — Alaina, 8; Allie, 5; and Trenton, 10 months.

A fund for the Martin family has been set up at the First National Bank of Bellevue, 120 North Street. Donations can be made by calling (419) 483-7340.

A collection also was taken at the Jamestown concert Wednesday night to benefit the family.
