Coffeehouse reading

SANDUSKY Featured reader for this weekend's Coffeehouse Reading Series will be Rob Smith, who will be reading from his new book of short fiction "McCallum's Call."

The book focuses on the life of a young minister meeting his first congregation and throughout his career, including births, deaths, struggles and even a homicide.

Smith is a poet and fiction author living in Huron, and one of the founding members of Independent Midwest Publishers and Authors Consortium.

The reading will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at Joe's Sundae Coffeehouse at West Washington and Shelby streets. It will be followed by an open-mic session. The event is sponsored by the Firelands Writing Center.
