A major waterline break occurred Tuesday morning affecting the homes in the Eagle Creek Subdivision.
A temporary emergency water connection was made to the Eagle Creek Subdivision, providing minimal water pressure. A boil alert is in effect for the entire subdivision until further notice. The city suggests drinking water or water used for consumption be boiled for one minute.
James Sawyer, the city’s public works director, said it could be several days or longer before normal water pressure is restored and the boil alert will last at least one day after normal water pressure is restored.
