Preschool Play and Language Skills Group, formerly known as the Therapeutic Play Group, is returning to Fisher-Titus Medical Center. Preschool PALS will be targeted toward children ages 3 to 5 with goals of improving peer interactions and building language skills through play.

Lisa Horchler, speech-language pathologist, will coordinate this program.

The sessions will meet from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Fridays, Feb. 16 to April 13. There will be no class on Friday, March 16.

Children can learn about life with a new brother or sister at a sibling education program offered from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, 272 Benedict Ave., Norwalk.

In addition to teaching children about the impact a newborn has on family life, the class also teaches brothers and sisters basic newborn care. For more information, call (419) 660-2646.



Expectant parents can prepare for the birth and care of their newborns during this informative childbirth education class at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. The class covers topics such as: signs and stages of labor, breastfeeding vs. bottle feeding, car seat safety and basic newborn care. Classes will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 8- Feb. 22. Shots for kids

The county health department will offer immunizations from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Erie County Job and Family Services building in Sandusky. A parent or legal guardian must provide the child's current shot record.
