Child seat inspections

Teddy Trooper, the mascot for the state Highway Patrol, will be at the Norwalk post from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday while certified inspectors will be on hand to properly install or inspect motorists' child safety seats. The event is free.

Breastfeeding class

Fisher-Titus Medical Center is offering a breastfeeding class for expectant mothers.

Participants will learn tips and techniques for more successful and effective breastfeeding along with the benefits it provides to both mother and baby. Class will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. today at the hospital, 272 Benedict Ave.

Childbirth education

Expectant parents can prepare for the birth and care of their newborns during this informative childbirth education class at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. The class covers topics such as signs and stages of labor, breastfeeding vs. bottle feeding, car seat safety and basic newborn care.

Classes will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, June 7 to 21. For more information and to register, call (419) 660-2646.



Children can learn about life with a new brother or sister at a sibling education program offered from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 9 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, 272 Benedict Ave., Norwalk.

In addition to teaching children about the impact a newborn has on family life, the class also teaches brothers and sisters basic newborn care.
