A quarter of the voters feel the Monroeville schools mismanage their money, according to the Reflector's online poll. When asked why they voted once again against the Monroeville schools' construction levy, another 27 percent said "better buildings don't equal better education."
A minority, 39 percent, however, said voters refuse to pass the levy because they are "selfish."
A few 9 percent say voters are taking a principled stand because the school funding system is unconstitutional.
