THINKING OUT LOUD - Where to go if you win a free trip - Seattle

Here's a silly story I used to tell in my banquet-speaker's-monologue. I heard the Quickie Quiz on WLKR one morning and, because I knew the answer, I called immediately. When the person answered, I gave what I was certain to be the correct answer but, instead of naming me the winner of the contest, the radio station person hung up on me. Wasn't that rude? They asked the question. I called with the right answer. And they hung up on me. At least I think I had the right answer. You decide. The question was: "A mule is a cross between a donkey and a horse. Which one is the mother?" And my answer was: "The one in front."
I am positive that's right. But they weren't going for it at the radio station. All I heard was a dial tone. Of course, as I said, it is just a silly little story; nothing I would really become upset about. To tell the truth, I was never much of a fan of the Quickie Quiz.
