Police and North Central EMS responded to the intersection of North Prospect and East League streets for an 11-year-old boy who fell off his skateboard Monday.
The boy was heading north across East League Street when he fell down after the skateboard went out from under his feet, Norwalk Police Capt. Mike Conney said. The boy was lying in the grass on the southeast corner of the intersection with the skateboard near his feet when Conney arrived.
“He said his back and the back of his head hurt. He did not know if his head was bleeding and I couldn’t see any his blood. I did see a fresh abrasion on his right elbow,” Conney wrote in his report.
Paramedics checked the boy and didn’t find any apparent injury other than the scraped elbow, he said.
A North Prospect Street woman was tending to a yard sale in her front yard when she saw the boy fall. She told police the boy got to his feet after falling, finished crossing East League Street and “dropped to the ground.”
The boy was released into the custody of his aunt after Conney was unable to contact his mother.
