U.S. 224, Ohio 60 open again

U.S. 224, between Lane Road and Greenwich Milan Township Road, is now open. It was previously closed for railroad crossing repairs.

Also, Ohio 60, between Auster Road and Ohio 18 south of Wakeman, is now open. Upon further investigation, the culvert was not washed out. Crews have made the necessary repairs, making the road useable.

Here is the ODOT District 3 weekly construction report for Huron County for the week of June 17:

U.S. Route 20

U.S. 20, just east of the village of Wakeman, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project and structure repairs. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete Aug. 15.

Also, U.S. 20, at the structure over the Vermillion River, in the village of Wakeman, will have reduced lane widths and traffic shifted to complete bridge repair work. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained. The project is expected to be complete October.

State Route 99

Ohio 99, between Bauman Road and North Greenfield Road, is closed for a culvert replacement. The detour route for northbound motorists is Ohio 99 to U.S. 224, west on U.S. 224 to Ohio 4, north on Ohio 4 to U.S. 20, east on U.S. 20 to Ohio 99, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen Friday, June 28, 2019.

State Route 103

Ohio 103, between Ohio 99 and Ohio 61, will have single lane closures for a smooth seal project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete June 2019.

State Route 162

Ohio 162, between New London Lafayette Road and New London East Road, is closed for railroad crossing repairs. The detour route for eastbound motorists is Ohio 162 to Ohio 60, north on Ohio 60 to Ohio 18, east on Ohio 18 to Ohio 511, south on Ohio 511 to Ohio 162, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen June 29.

Also, Ohio 162, from U.S. 250 to the Village of New London, will have single lane closures for a chip seal project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete July 2019.

U.S. Route 224

U.S. 224, just east of Bullhead Road, is now open. It was previously closed for conduit installation. Bullhead Road, between County Road 235 and U.S. 224, will remain closed as crews complete project work. The road is expected to reopen July 3.

State Route 269

Ohio 269, through the City of Bellevue, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be completed in August.
