A Wii bowling team from the Enrichment Centers for Huron County, 4 Strikes & a Spare, was only 38 pins from a national title.

“Out of 280 teams nationwide and 1,400 players, they are the runners-up in the NSL (National Senior League) Wii bowling championships,” said Lisa Gleisner, activities director.

“Team 'Up your Alley B' of Tennessee defeated them with a score of 2,064 pins to 2,026 pins. What a close one.”

The Huron County team consisted of: Ray Beat, Mel Comer and Linda Dudash, all of Norwalk; Jerry Grosswiler, of Collins; Al Koontz, of Norwalk (team substitute); and Jim Milks, also of Norwalk.

“They represented the center so well with their determination, dedication and skill. Thank you for another great season. A special thank-you to our team sponsor, Neel Plumbing, of Norwalk, and Sticky Paper Designs, also of Norwalk, for designing and donating the team T-shirts,” Gleisner said.
