JHI Group and Firelands Fabrication employees participate in community events

• Aug 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM

Employees of Janotta & Herner and Firelands Fabrication recently participated in two local community events. It was Janotta & Herner and Firelands Fabrication day at the Huron County Fair Aug. 17. Members of both companies spent time at the sponsor booth handing out promotional items and speaking with fairgoers about the services each company provides, as well as the employment options the companies have available.

Children who visited the booth received their own plastic hardhat and had the opportunity to have their picture taken as a construction worker. That evening at the rough truck event in the grandstands, JHI Group employees threw out T-shirts to spectators with the two companies’ names on them.

The next day, employees from both companies gathered in Monroeville to march in the Vietnam Era Veterans Welcome Home Parade as part of the Remembering Our Fallen activities that took place over the weekend. About 50 employees and their family members walked in the parade, carrying banners to honor Monroeville’s veterans and threw out candy to the people in attendance. The group also carried a banner to honor the late Jason Sparks, who lost his life serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, and is honored on the Remembering Our Fallen monument.
