The live music performances and fun will be from 6 to 11 p.m. Families are invited to come down to Main Street for live music, beach-themed decorations and activities, vendors and more. All are encouraged to get in the spirit and even come dressed, ready for a beach party.
Crowds will be “Buzzing the Ave” with cars, which starts at 6 p.m. as well, enjoy beach balls, a corn hole tournament and end the night with a movie in the park. The movie selected is “Beach Blanket Bingo.”
Another one of the event’s new features this year is fundraising. Each Imagine Norwalk will focus on raising money for a local charity or non-profit organization.
For Friday’s event, the charity of the night will be F I Community Housing, a recovery center. Sky lanterns will be available to be purchased in honor a friend or loved one who has fought, or is fighting addiction. All proceeds will benefit the F I Community Housing.
