From roundabouts to electric lights

NOTE: This letter to the editor was submitted by Lawrence Cutting of New London:

Roundabout, good grief. This is rural Ohio, not New Jersey.

Sounds like some people don't mind spending other people’s money. There is a traffic light at U.S. 20 and Ohio 58 between Wellington and Oberlin. We get a newspaper that covers that area and I do not recall having read of any accidents there in a long time. Just put in a traffic light that stops traffic on U.S. 20 only when there is traffic approaching on Ohio 601.

Now then, I have no opinion for or against the wind turbines. However, my late father, God rest his sole, who was born in 1894 used to tell me about something when he was a young fellow many years ago. When electric lights began showing up in hotel rooms, many people refused to stay in those rooms for fear the electric current would effect their mental and/or physical health. I'm sure today everybody is thinking how silly that was. But I wonder if many years from now will people think how silly it was for the concern that is now being shown for the wind turbines.
