Teen shot dead after argument breaks out at Lorain house party, police say

LORAIN — A 16-year-old boy is dead following an early morning shooting, police say.

Officers responded about 4:30 a.m. to the 3000 block of Vine Avenue, about one block north of Lincoln Park, according to a news release from Lorain police.

Police found a 16-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the release states.

Investigators soon learned that the boy was shot after an argument took place at a nearby house party, police said.

The teen’s identity has not been released.

Lorain police did not provide any additional details regarding the shooting Sunday morning. Anyone with information that could help police is asked to call Lorain police at 440-204-2100.
