BERLIN TWP. — Erie County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Norwalk man accused of attacking a woman and her father just after 12:15 p.m. Friday.

Authorities arrived within the 8100 block of Main Road in Berlin Township for a domestic dispute, according to a report.

The incident started when Steven Moore, 28, was in a car with the woman and their 4-year-old child. The woman said Moore repeatedly tried to instigate an argument with her about an unknown issue. During the car ride, the woman called her parents to meet them at her home.

After driving to her home, Moore hopped onto his motorcycle and began revving the engine. When the woman approached Moore, he allegedly backhanded her and shoved her against a vehicle. The deputy noted she had several scraped on her knee and foot.

Not knowing if Moore would continue attacking his daughter, the woman’s father struck Moore three times. Moore then punched the man several times in the face before leaving on the motorcycle, the report read.

After being stopped by a Berlin Heights police officer, Moore claimed the woman attacked him for “no reason,” he said.

Based on the statements given, deputies charged Moore with two counts of domestic violence and booked him into the Erie County jail.

Records indicate Moore has since posted the necessary $10,000 bond and was subsequently released.
