MARGARETTA TWP. — A man and woman were arrested Saturday after they allegedly fought inside a truck.

Cecily Hoffman, 29, of the 300 block of Gardner St. in Bellevue, was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence, marijuana possession and marijuana paraphernalia possession. Lee Kuns, 30, of Castalia, was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.

Deputies responded to a convenience store parking lot in the 3500 block of Tiffin Ave., according to an Erie County Sheriff’s Office report. A witness told deputies they saw a woman in a vehicle appearing to “fend off” a man allegedly attempting to strike her.

Deputies saw the man, identified as Kuns, with scratches on his face and blood on his hands, the report states. He told law enforcement the woman assaulted him and he did not assault her, the report states.

The woman, identified as Hoffman, said she and Kuns struck each other inside the vehicle, according to the report.

Deputies arrested both Kuns and Hoffman and took them to the Erie County jail. Hoffman’s additional marijuana charges came from items allegedly found in her purse.

Both were released from jail on $5,000 bonds.
