Woman killed in crash with 3 kids in vehicle

BLOOMVILLE — A woman was killed in a crash Monday night with three children in the vehicle. 

The Fremont state Highway Patrol Post is investigating a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred at 9:01 p.m. Monady on Townline Road 12, near Townline Road 77, in Bloom Township, Seneca County.

Samantha Foster, 24, of Bloomville, was driving three children in her a white 2001 Ford F-150 eastbound on Townline Road 12, when she drove off the right side of the roadway, troopers said. Foster then lost control on the gravel roadway, drove off the left side of the roadway and overturned the truck.

Foster was ejected from the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries and was killed, Troopers said. She was transported to the Tiffin Mercy Hospital by the Seneca County Coroner.

The three children passengers, Noah Barnett, 6, Kaleigh Foster, 12, and Aaleigh Ladd, 12, all suffered minor injuries and were also transported to Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

None of the vehicle’s occupants were wearing safety belts, reports said.

The truck sustained severe damage to its top, and was towed from the scene by D&D Towing.

Also assisting troopers at the scene were the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Bloomville Fire Department and Bloomville EMS.

Troopers said it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this crash, which remains under investigation.
