It was one of several accidents investigated by the Norwalk post of the state Highway Patrol during the past two weeks.
Here is a roundup of those accidents:
6:47 p.m.: Matigan Obringer, 18, of Norwalk, was traveling west on Snyder Road. Benjamin Barman, 30, of Monroeville, was traveling south on Peru Center Road. Obringer failed to yield at the stop sign and was struck by Barman. Both went off the road and struck a guard wire before coming to final rest. Obringer was flown to the University of Toledo by North Central EMS flight for injuries and charged with a stop sign violation. 7:40 a.m.: Joshua Endicott, 24, of Plymouth, was traveling north on Section Line Road 30 when he drove off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and rolled over. No injuries were reported. Endicott was charged with failure to control.
3:48 p.m.: Donavon Platte, 31, of Norwalk, was on a motorcycle traveling north west on Greenwich Angling Road. He lost control, drove off the road and overturned. He then went off the road again and struck a ditch. He was taken to Fisher Titus Medical Center by North Central EMS for his injuries and charged with failure to control.
4:30 p.m.: An vehicle was traveling east on Town Line Road 187 when the driver lost control and traveled down an embankment, off the south side of the road. The vehicle became engulfed in flames, killing the driver. Because of the severity of the damage caused by the fire, an identification of the driver had not been made at time of print and the crash was still under investigation.
