The hostess furnished the chicken main dish and members brought a delicious variety of salads and desserts.
A business meeting was conducted by president Kathy Veith. Committee chairs reported on their current activities, and members were encouraged to continue preparing items for the Oct. 1 Make and Bake Auction.
Volunteers will be planting at Suhr Park this week. Community gardens, which members will be caring for this summer, are Suhr Park and Woodlawn Cemetery gardens, plus the Blue Star Memorial at Veterans Memorial Lake Park.
The Town and Country Garden Club has collected a total of 3,135 pounds of food for the Feeding America Project (these items were contributed to the local food banks or Blessing Box,) and won an award for the largest food collection in the Mansfield district for the two-year project, which ends this month.
The club will be on break for the month of July. The Aug. 6 meeting will be a craft project at the studio of Jan Fegley.
