State to reschedule hearings for Republic Wind Farm

• Updated May 2, 2019 at 11:33 AM

The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) has suspended the hearings scheduled in the Republic Wind Farm case, including the local public hearing that had been scheduled for May 14 in Bellevue and the evidentiary hearing scheduled for June 3 in Columbus.

The OPSB will establish a new hearing schedule at a later date.

Late last week, Republic Wind, LLC and the OPSB staff filed a joint request in the case record to suspend the hearing schedule to allow additional time for Republic Wind to provide the staff with information required for the staff to complete its report of investigation.

As proposed, the Republic Wind Farm would consist of up to 47 wind turbines located in Adams, Reed, Scipio and Thompson townships in Seneca County and York Township in Sandusky County.

The wind farm would have a total generating capacity of up to 200 megawatts.

Additional information regarding the proposed wind farm is available on the OPSB website at www.OPSB.ohio.gov in case number 17-2295-EL-BGN.
