Sean Armold shot a 40 to lead New London, while Sean Andolsek (42) and Carter Eibel (43) were not far behind. Also for the ‘Cats, Marcus Mayhorn had a 46, while Kotiana Barber shot a 49 and Dax Amburgy added a 58.
For Western Reserve, Luke Rowlinson shot a 45, followed by Matt Jarrett (46), John Skrada (46), Camden Hankins (46), Jacob Sargent (57) and Julia Tite (63).
New London will host Crestview on Monday at Millstone Hills.
St. Paul 196, Plymouth 202
SHELBY — The Flyers improved to 2-2 overall and 2-2 in the Firelands Conference with Wednesday’s win over the host Big Red at Woody Ridge Golf Club.
Jackson Cook led St. Paul with a 40, and he was followed by Nathan Juby (47), Logan Amato (50), Luke Meyer (59), David Swope (61) and Dylan Cook (66).
St. Paul is at Western Reserve on Monday.
Norwalk 201, Perkins 208
NORWALK — The Truckers picked up an SBC Lake Division win on Wednesday, topping visiting Perkins by a 201-208 score at the Eagle Creek Golf Course.
For Norwalk, Hannah Dumbeck was medalist after shooting a 43. She was followed by Chloe Thomas (49), Noelle Jackson (50), Mylea Barber (59), Mimi Serotko (66) and Mya Binkley (73).
Norwalk improved to 3-2 in the Lake and travels to Willow Creek on Monday to face Vermilion.
Willard 4, Perkins 1
WILLARD — The Crimson Flashes advanced in the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association tournament with a home win over the visiting Pirates on Wednesday.
At first singles, Ella Schag fell by a 6-4, 6-1 score to the Pirates’ Emma Lynch.
At second singles, Natalie Van Zoest swept her way past Bailey Garrett (6-0, 6-0), while Naomi Schag scored a win over Caitlin McQuillen (6-2, 6-1) at third singles.
Whitney Robinson and Kennedy Daub won a lengthy match at first doubles over Ryleigh Keller and Diana Schoder in three sets, 7-6 (10-7), 1-6, 7-6(10-7).
Second doubles saw Becca Slone and Kalli Sowers defeat Trinity Bibler and Abriye Skelton (6-4, 6-2).
Bellevue 5, St. Mary CC 0
SANDUSKY — The Lady Red improved to 2-1 with a sweep over the visiting Panthers on Wednesday in non-league action at Battery Park.
Rayven Whyde got things going for Bellevue at first singles with a win over Sarah Bias (6-4, 6-2). At second singles, it was Summer Strunk topping Mallory Parish (6-2, 6-3), while Dakota Zerman defatted Julia Loeffer at third singles (6-4, 7-6 (7-0).
At first doubles, Sage Garcia and Leighann Motley blanked Hailey Bahnsen and Jaycee Killian (6-0, 6-0). The second doubles team of Perla Monreal and Ella Little won over Mean London and Katie Milkie (6-2, 6-0).
Norwalk eighth-grade wins
WILLARD — The Norwalk eighth-grade volleyball team defeated Willard on Wednesday by scores of 25-17, 25-13.
Ava Tyler and Tyra Corbin were 100 percent servers for Norwalk, while Adelina Roblero served 13 points and added eight kills hitting. Tyler also had 11 assists, and Callie Helton added nine assists. Emily Skeel added a block.
Norwalk will host Western Reserve and Oak Harbor on Saturday.
Trucker seventh-graders win
WILLARD — Norwalk’s seventh-grade team also picked up a two-set victory, beating the Crimson Flashes by scores of 25-12, 25-14.
Mac Wineman was a 100 percent server with her and Lucy Schlotterer each scoring seven points. C.C. Clouse and Schlotterer led the way with three kills each, while Eva Ott had five assists.
