Leroux siblings both selected to All-Ohio first team

COLUMBUS — A pair of siblings earned All-Ohio first team honors for the Norwalk football team on Tuesday.

Offensive lineman Trey Leroux, and senior defensive lineman Tche Leroux were named to the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association All-Ohio first teams in Division III.

Joining them on the All-Ohio team was senior running back Trevon Raymore, who was a second team selection. Earning special mention honors included senior Brandon Haraway (WR), senior Kaden Livingston (DB), junior Alec Maloney (LB) and sophomore Garrison Smith (K).

An offensive tackle Trey Leroux (6-feet-8, 335 pounds) was also voted the Northwest District Lineman of the Year for Div. III.

A unanimous selection to the All-Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division first team, Leroux was a key part of an offense with 4,671 yards and 435 points in 14 weeks.

An NCAA Div. I recruit with offers from Purdue, Cincinnati and Toledo, Leroux finished with 35 pancake blocks and did not allow a sack during the regular season.

Tche Leroux had 70 tackles and 10 sacks in the regular season, while also recovering three fumbles — including one for a touchdown. He added six more sacks and more than 20 tackles in the four playoff games for the Truckers, who finished 10-4 and advanced to the state semifinals.

Haraway caught 30 passes for 506 yards and 3 TDs during the regular season. He finished with 47 catches for 686 yards overall.

Smith was 41-of-42 on extra point attempts in the regular season, and also connected on five field goals — including a 39-yarder. He added 13 touchbacks on kickoffs, and through the playoffs finished 57-of-58 on PATs and nine field goals for 84 points.

Maloney had 90 tackles and three sacks in the regular season, and finished with more than 120 tackles and six sacks. Meanwhile Livingston added 73 tackles, five interceptions and a fumble recovery in the regular season. He finished with more than 90 tackles.
