The Huron County Fair is a month away scheduled Aug. 12 to the 17.

Board members have been busy on many improvements to the grounds and buildings. 4-H clubs have planted flowers, proving it takes cooperation and many volunteer hours to get ready for the fair.

The fair office opens Monday and will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until the fair. Fair books currently are available online and all entries must be in the office by 5 p.m. July 31.

Here are some of the fair highlights this year:

Monday — Cheer Bonanza will highlight the first day beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the grandstand.
