The live music performances and fun will be from 6 to 11 p.m. Families are invited to come down to Main Street for live music, military-themed decorations and activities, vendors and more. All are encouraged to get in the spirit and even come dressed, as their favorite form of service.
Crowds will be “Buzzing the Ave” with cars, which starts at 6 p.m. as well, free crafts in the park will be offered by the Kiwanis Club of Norwalk, with helmets from Fisher-Titus Medical Center. The night will end with a movie in the park at dusk.
Another one of the event’s new features this year is fundraising. Each Imagine Norwalk will focus on raising money for a local charity or non-profit organization.
For Friday’s event, the charities of the night will be veterans and Senior Enrichment Services’ meals program.
Businesses and musicians will be doing individual activities and putting their own spin on showing honor to local veterans.
