Kiwanis recognize NHS's Montana and Krichbaum sisters

The Norwalk Kiwanis honored three Norwalk High School seniors as the May students of the month.

Petra Montana is the daughter of Andrew Montana and Joanne Montana

Her extra-curricular activities, awards and honors include: Art Club, National Honor Society, principal’s list, Governor's Youth Exhibition State winner and county art awards.

“I plan to study psychology at the University of Cincinnati this fall,” she said.

Carmen and Scarlett Krichbaum are the daughters of Amy and Scott.

Carmen’s extra-curricular activities, awards and honors include: Student council, 4-H, Pathfinders youth group, part-time job at Pizza Post, golf, track, orchestra, musical, 4-H camp counselor, National Honor Society, track team captain (four-year letter winner), recipient of the Tom Phillips Memorial Scholarship, orchestra vice president and senior class treasurer.

She plans to attend Malone University with a double major in business and accounting. Carmen Krichbaum also compete on the track and field team.

Scarlett’s extra-curricular activities, awards and honors include: Treasurer of student council, track, golf,  Envirothon captain, Pathfinders youth Group, secretary of the Ridgefield Country Kids 4-H club, musical, National Honor Society, orchestra president, letters in cross country, golf, and track and recipient of the Tom Phillips Memorial Scholarship.

“I plan on attending Northern Michigan University to major in zoology and minor in earth science,” she said.
