AVERY — The Division of Safety and Hygiene, part of Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, selected EHOVE Career Center to receive a school safety and security grant.

The grant funds will cover 75 percent of the expense to purchase 13 security camera and accessories and nine trauma response kits. The funds, about $29,111, are expected to be received in mid-April.

EHOVE Director of Operations David Jenkins said EHOVE is one of the first schools in the area to receive the grant.

“EHOVE takes student and staff security very seriously,” he said. “When the grant program was announced, I felt it could be a great way to fund additional security cameras around campus, as well as place advanced trauma kits in each building. We are thankful that Ohio BWC funded our project.”
