Racioppi named Edison student of the month

BERLIN HEIGHTS — The Berlin Heights Kiwanis has named Edison High School senior Holly Racioppi as the December student of the month.

Racioppi has been chosen for her contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities. She maintains a 4.2 GPA and is ranked sixth in her class.

Her school and extra-curricular activities include: National Honor Society; class officer (treasurer); Key Club; Math Club; Spanish Club; Interact Club (co-communications officer); soccer (four-year letter-winner, senior captain, honorable mention, coach’s award recipient); McWane Scholarship committee editor; Edison Works advisory council ambassador; volunteers for When Pigs Fly, OHgo and the Interact Club Backpack and Early Readers programs. She also works at Plato’s Closet.

Racioppi plans to attend Bowling Green State University, majoring in nursing with the goal of becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner. She is the daughter of Kathy Pankow and Joseph Racioppi, of Huron.
