Huron County Humane Society yard sale is this weekend

• Apr 26, 2018 at 6:06 PM

This weekend Huron County Humane Society will host a huge yard sale from 1 to 5 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Woodlawn Avenue facility.

The funds earned will provide a loving, safe, clean shelter to help the community, your friends or neighbors who find themselves in a crisis situation with nowhere for their animals to go.

The Humane Society cares for animals by providing temporary shelter, providing immediate and intensive veterinary medical care emphasizing spay and neuter; conducting outreach and education programs specifically teaching about the humane care of animals and to reinforce concepts of kindness and respect for all living creatures; enforcing animal welfare laws and conducting cruelty investigation and rescue by a deputized humane investigator.

Each year the Huron County Humane Society (HCHS) takes in hundreds of companion animals and successfully places many of them in loving homes. Your support of the HCHS allows us to continue to serve Huron County, while continuing to share the news of the extraordinary need for humane society services and the fact that the HCHS relies solely on private contributions.
