BELLEVUE — With friends and family on hand Thursday morning, Tom and Lavin Schwan realized a dream.

The two cut the ribbon to officially open Bone Boy’s BBQ at 109 W. Main St. in Bellevue.

“We got into catering about five years ago,” said Tom Schwan, a 1987 graduate of Monroeville High School.

“It kept building and building. The first year we did six jobs and last year we did 94.”

The restaurant had a couple of soft openings to get started and is now open to the public. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

For more information you can call 419-483-PIGS (7447) or 419-483-BBQ1 (2271). You can fax an order to 419-483-7448 or email [email protected]

“We want to keep everything fresh so at the end of the day if we run out, we run out,” Schwan said. “We don’t want to carry many things over (extra food to the next day).”

“We just have great friends and great community support. We are just excited to be here,” an emotional Lavin Schwan said. “This means an awful lot to us.”

”Just an emotional day for us,“ Tom Schwan told the crowd.
