Monroeville falls to Buckeye Central

MONROEVILLE — The Monroeville boys basketball team was outscored by 10 points over the middle two quarters, and that proved to be the difference in Tuesday’s 50-40 loss to visiting Buckeye Central at the Monroeville Athletic Complex.

For the Eagles, who fell to 7-11 overall, Isaac Roeder finished with 14 points, while Cody Schaffer scored 11. Mason Tonelli added two 3-pointers and scored eight points.

Monroeville entertains Plymouth on Friday in a Firelands Conference game.

SULLIVAN — The Wildcats limited the host Pirates to two points in a low-scoring non-league win on Monday night at Black River High School.

With the win, New London improved to 8-11 overall ahead of Thursday’s non-league game at Colonel Crawford.

Lili Bartow connected on two 3-pointers and scored a team-high eight points for the Wildcats, who also got six points from Megan Conrad and five from Korah Schmidt.

Bellevue 57, Toledo Start 40

BELLEVUE — The state-ranked Lady Red improved to 15-2 with Tuesday’s comfortable non-league win over the visiting Rams.

Cory Santoro led Bellevue — ranked No. 7 in the latest Division II Associated Press poll — with 20 points, while older sister Casey Santoro added 15.

Bellevue visits Clyde on Saturday in SBC Lake Division action.

 

Colonel Crawford 44, Plymouth 38

PLYMOUTH — The host Big Red fell in a back-and-forth non-league game to the visiting Eagles on Tuesday.

With the loss, Plymouth fell to 4-14. The Big Red host Crestline on Thursday in another non-league game.
