Margaretta (4-6, 1-3) had cut a 5-2 deficit to 5-4, then after Edison (6-3, 2-1) scored twice in the fifth, the Bears scored three times in the top of the sixth to knot things up at 6-all.
Simon had two hits and scored twice for the Chargers who also got two hits each from Caden Cooper and Caleb Bissell.
Carson Kennedy had four RBIs, despite not getting credited for any hits. Jake Leibacher singled twice and added three runs scored.
None of the runs against Edison were earned. Simon had seven strikeouts in five innings, giving up four unearned runs on five hits.

For Willard (1-9, 1-3), Austin Adelman was 2 for 2 with a run scored, while Jake Cok singled with two RBIs and also scored. Ian Brown was 1 for 3 with an RBI, and Ashton Ames and Caden Flowers each singled and scored a run.

Also for Plymouth, Luke Hamann had three hits, two RBIs and scored twice, while Anthony Montgomery added two hits and stole three bases.
On the mound, Zeth Goth went five innings for the win. He allowed five earned runs on eight hits with nine strikeouts and four walks.

WILLARD — The Willard softball team improved to 6-5 overall and 2-3 in the SBC Bay Division with Wednesday’s home win over the visiting Redskins.
Willard scored seven runs in the second inning to take control.
Kelli Sowers had two hits and three RBIs for Willard, who also got two hits and an RBI each from Morgan Hamons, Melayna Mahl and Jena Adams. Whitney Robinson and Adams each had a double.
Hamons went all seven innings, allowing four earned runs on nine hits with two strikeouts and no walks.

At first singles, Austin Brown swept (6-0, 6-0), while Carson Colahan won at second singles in three sets (5-7, 7-6 (1), 10-8). Andrew Mozina fell at third singles (6-1, 6-1).
At first doubles, Andrew Riley and Wyatt Brown won (6-1, 6-2), while the No. 2 team of Ben Traczek and Sam Vanderpool also won in straight sets (7-6 (1), 6-0).
Norwalk is off until Monday at Sandusky.
